Closure of Drollerie Press

It is with sorrow that I must announce the closure of Drollerie Press.

I have been dogged by health issues that have spiraled out of control, and have not been able to manage the company for over a year. Really wonderful people have attempted to help, and I owe them more than I can say, most especially Selena and JoSelle, but I should have shut down the company much sooner. I held on to the hope that I would improve, and that things would get better, but every time I showed some improvement, something else would break, and I am near bed-ridden and have been for some time. Things just aren’t getting better. On good days, I spend an hour or two out of bed, but am unable to work at all.

The posts to this website will remain as an archive for as long as the domain name exists. The books will disappear from bookstores and around the web over the next month, and a final accounting will be provided to authors as quickly as possible.

If you are an author and have not received your letter releasing your book rights to you, please email drollerie.press@gmail.com. Since my health is so poor, I cannot respond to other emails.

Deena

Deena, sorry to hear this. I know folks have been fighting the good fight, and it's hard to let go of something into which so much time, effort, and emotion have been poured. But you have to take care of yourself, too, and I am definitely grateful for the pieces you accepted in recent years and the opportunity to reach an audience.

Oh, god, Deena, I was so hoping things were improving for you. I'm so sorry this has been an extra burden on you, with your family to take care of as well. I hope that soon you'll at least be able to get back into the world more, because you're not a person I want to lose track of.

I'm so sorry to read that, Deena. Because I wish your health was better, of course, but also because I have gotten so much enjoyment from Drollerie. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

I'm so sorry, Deena. Please let me know if there's anything I can do. You're such a wonderful person, and I feel like a bad friend for not knowing you were quite so ill.
